We are an organization dedicated to "bringing joy, smiles, and laughter... one child at a time". Each year at Christmas, we help to provide gifts to about 70 kids and atleast one family. We do this by getting sponsors to "adopt" them and then go out and buy gifts or by donating the money to do so. Theses gifts are then delivered the week of Christmas and prepared for distribution to the kids Christmas Day!! The family that we "adopt" is chosen from a list that is gathered by our volunteers, the voted on. We try to get as much information about the family as possible so that we can try to pick the family that needs it most. Unfortunately, we are only able to do one family a year for now, but hope to be able to do more in the future. My goal was to find a place where children were sheltered and take Christmas to them. I decided to gather a group of folks together who wanted to help ensure this special day occurred by having them "sponsor" a child and make sure that they had a gift at Christmas. We will be continuing the tradition at the St. Vincent's Center and looking to find other centers in the future to reach more kids.
